CoffeeWriters Cafe

CoffeeWriters Cafe Podcast Episode 1 - What is CoffeeWriters Cafe?

CoffeeWriters Cafe began as an idea between two aspiring authors. Each week a small group of writers gathers for an hour of focused writing, followed by in-depth conversation. The CoffeeWriters Cafe Podcast is a glimpse into these discourses. Writers, authors, poets, list-makers, journalists, wanderers, dreamers, and friends, welcome to the CoffeeWriters Cafe Podcast! In this episode, one of the CoffeeWriters Cafe co-founders, Lydia, explains a little bit about how the group came to be. She outlines the structure of the meetings and some of the ideas that were thrown around during those first conversations. “When we first started, we dreamt about what would help us write more and encourage us to move forward in the ideas and stories that were on our hearts...” Links: https://www.facebook.com/coffeewriter... CWC Zoom Video: Rest * Reset * Re-calibrate

Originally recorded: May 5, 2020 In this episode: In this episode, Alex, Andrea, Greg, John, Lydia, Rose, Yalina & Yelisa get into the mind and matter of things. We’re talking poetry and prophecies this week, guys! An illustration called “City Girl Underwater” by artist Jackie de Leon serves as the Prompt Response image, evoking some poetry, a fictitious letter, and other inspiring short pieces. During writing time, the Coffeewriters each worked on their own personal projects, sparking a discussion about “off days” (they happen to the best of us!). Our “What’cha Readin’?” segment also inspired some conversation about the power of the mind and discerning spiritual wisdom.
